Class of 1998 - Reunion

On June 7th 2008 the class of 1998 met on the Lycée grounds to celebrate their ten year reunion. The event which is organised every first week of June and is open to all Lycée alumni wishing to attend. Year on year the reunion continues to be a success, illustrating the formidable strength of the bonds that unite lycée alumni throughout their lives. Thanks to the efforts of the Association des Anciens Elèves and its dynamic leader, Jihane Schmidt, old classmates converged on South Ken from three different continents. The principal, Monsieur Vasseur, as well as the members of the Association were all there to welcome them. Whilst most of them had not seen each other for at least that many years, it seemed as though only five minutes had passed since recess was last called. Upon arriving, participants were treated to a guided tour of the lycée and were astounded by the smallness of the chairs and tables they once had so much trouble filling in. This lot has definitely grown up and moved from the innocent CP chairs to more serious ones in the public and private sector. Following a speech by the Proviseur inciting alumni to take a greater part in the future of the lycée, participants enjoyed a delicious three course dinner in the cour des primaires. After desert a spontaneous game of basketball broke out; exemplifying the importance of the lycée's sporting tradition and the energy that continues to drive its alums. May this tradition last for many years.
